UI/UX Product Designer (Individual Contributor)

Location: Quarry Bay, Hong Kong
Function: Product – EiQ (Responsible Sourcing & Supply Chain ESG)

About EiQ (Role Context)

EiQ connects stakeholders across the value chain—brands, suppliers, auditors, and risk experts—and delivers continuous ESG due‑diligence capabilities through modules such as EiQ Analyze, Ask EiQ, EiQ Suppliers, CAP Management, Digital Learning, Sentinel risk ratings and API, and integrations with third‑party audit data. The suite enables collaboration, report sharing, remediation tracking, and proactive risk monitoring across complex supply chains.

Role Summary

We are seeking a UI/UX Product Designer to operate as a team of one (individual contributor, part of the product team), responsible for end‑to‑end design and research across the EiQ suite. You will work hands‑on in collaboration with Product Owners from discovery through delivery—planning and conducting research, translating insights into flows and interfaces, and building interactive prototypes that inform product decisions for global corporate responsible sourcing teams, manufacturing actors (suppliers, vendors), and risk experts (auditors, program managers).

The ideal candidate is bilingual in Mandarin and English, fluent in both spoken and written forms, and proactively leverages the newest UI/UX prototyping technologies beyond traditional tools (e.g., AI‑assisted design, vibe‑coding, AI‑assisted coding, design library management) to accelerate iteration and raise design quality.

Key Responsibilities

1) Product Design & Prototyping

  • Translate complex ESG workflows into intuitive, accessible user journeys and interfaces across EiQ modules (e.g., Site collaboration, CAP remediation, risk monitoring dashboards).
  • Create high‑fidelity UI, interaction specs, and clickable prototypes; instrument prototypes to capture learning signals (task success, comprehension, friction).
  • Operate beyond Figma by applying AI‑driven techniques (prompt‑based ideation, vibe‑coding, AI‑assisted component generation, library curation) to speed experimentation and raise fidelity.

2) UX Research & Insight Generation

  • Own end‑to‑end research: stakeholder interviews (brands, suppliers, auditors), workflow shadowing, moderated/unmoderated usability testing, survey design, and insight synthesis.
  • Turn findings into clear problem statements, opportunity maps, and evidence‑backed design decisions aligned with EiQ’s value proposition.

3) Design Systems & Quality

  • Establish and maintain a scalable design system (tokens, components, accessibility guidelines) applicable across web modules and data‑heavy interfaces.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure design feasibility and high‑quality implementation; define acceptance criteria and contribute to UI review gates.

4) Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to align on requirements and success metrics; present rationale in Mandarin and English to regional and cross‑border stakeholders.
  • Produce concise artefacts (PRDs appendices, annotated flows, microcopy specs) that “speak client language” and support external‑facing narratives for responsible sourcing teams.

5) Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Track emerging UI/UX methods and AI tooling trends; introduce practical pilots (e.g., AI‑generated variants, automated accessibility checks, pattern mining from usage logs).
  • Champion data‑informed iteration in domains such as report sharing, remediation tracking, and supplier engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5–8 years in digital product design (enterprise/B2B preferred), delivering complex workflows and data‑rich interfaces end‑to‑end (research → IA → UI → validation).
  • Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written) required, Mandarin Chinese and advantage.
  • Tools & Methods:
    • Advanced proficiency in Figma (tokens, components, variants), and prototyping tools.
    • Demonstrable experience with AI‑assisted design (e.g., prompt‑driven ideation, code‑aware prototyping, vibe‑coding), AI‑assisted coding for UI prototypes, and library management.
    • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and performance‑aware UI patterns.
  • Research: Skilled in qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, task studies, surveys, usability testing), with the ability to convert insights into product decisions.
  • Communication: Clear writing and storytelling tailored to internal and external audiences; ability to articulate trade‑offs and influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Mindset: Self‑directed, commercially aware, systematic, and comfortable operating as a team of one in a fast‑evolving product area.

Success Measures (First 6–12 Months)

  • Ship research‑backed improvements to at least two EiQ workflows (e.g., supplier report sharing, CAP progress visibility) measured by reduced task time or error rate.
  • Establish a baseline design system (tokens + components) adopted by engineering with release QA gates.
  • Demonstrate AI‑accelerated prototyping (documented methods, time savings, and quality gains).
  • Deliver bilingual artefacts and stakeholder readouts that improve alignment across brands/suppliers/auditors.

Work Arrangement

  • Base: Quarry Bay, Hong Kong

Equal Opportunity

We welcome applicants of all backgrounds. Selection is based on qualifications and fit for the role’s responsibilities.
