Role Purpose
Advisory service is a recognised, world leading professional assurance services organisation, leveraging on its assurance expertise to manage and reduce risk and contribute to a safer world. We specialise in Customer Training Service and project as well as advisory service across a broad spectrum of standards, schemes and business improvement services.
The purpose of this role is to lead training delivery and provide a range of training services that exceed client expectations, maximise opportunities for business growth and development, and improve TIS competitive position in Mainland China, Hongkong and Taiwan.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of Tutor/Auditors, both full-time and subcontractors, to ensure the delivery of an effective service that complies with training requirements, internal procedures and our principles.
- Ensure appropriate levels of tutor resources to meet the needs of the business, driving to a target mix of FT and subcontractor tutors/auditors. Recruit and ensure effective induction of new Tutors/Auditors.
- Responsible for driving recruitment and induction of new Tutors as per management plan. Review Tutor competencies for specific industry/business sectors and authorise the allocation of codes or recommend authorisation to an appropriate Resource Authoriser.
- Monitor local performance via observation, customer visits, review of client or internal feedback. Effectively support the performance of FT and S/c tutors when performance issues are identified to protect LRQA brand.
- Support the development of new products as required, providing specialist knowledge to oversee the design and ensure that all products are consistent with the TIS philosophy and methodology
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the global and Area training business strategies. Support the definition and implementation of Improvement Services products, focusing on chosen products first and defining and shaping the future of IS, in coordination with Global SD and Global Training Head. Ensure consistency across Areas/Countries with potential.
- Work with other BA managers to ensure that internal training is developed and delivered effectively for employees
- Organise, prepare and lead Tutor meetings, involving other TIS managers and experts as appropriate as thought leader, and ensuring that it creates an opportunity for team members to learn, build engagement and support achieving the business objectives
- Resolve client technical complaints and queries promptly and appropriately as a knowledge specialist, taking every opportunity to foster strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Contribute to the Area/country budgeting process and pricing strategy for TIS and manage operations and associated costs to protect and grow TIS revenue and margin contributions
- Ensure implementation of LR safety procedures by self and the tutor/auditor team.
- Work together with SDS team to drive utilisation of Area tutors/auditors to a desired level, reflected in the targets agreed during the budget or forecast process.
- Support in the preparation of activity forecasts, and prepare for monthly review process and specific projects, destined to improve the operational, delivery and financial metrics of the TIS business.
- Maintain professional competence by keeping abreast of technical and other developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records, updating CV, maintaining professional registrations and producing records of competence as required
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements
- Thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements and their application in the variety of industry
- Qualified to assess against Management system like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001, etc.
- Understanding/ appreciation of relevant legal/ regulatory framework.
- Substantial experience in delivering training courses (learner centred, accelerated learning technics, VILT, ILT and visual facilitation, etc.).
- Understanding of the principles of client management principles and application within the role.
- Experience in developing and managing complex technical projects.
- Excellent speaking and writing capability in English
- Appreciation of the full range of TIS products and services.
- Lead and Facilitate Taiwan and HK business by excellent communication with colleagues in Taiwan and Hong Kong
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Zoom, TEAMS, etc.
