Role Purpose:

To undertake business assurance assessments and recommended verification, deferral, suspension, withdrawal of certification, validation or verification against the appropriate standard(s) and lead groups / clients / schemes in the above.

Support other functions on business development, technical management etc.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Within authorized area of specialism, undertake verification in accordance with current procedures
  • Lead multi-disciplinary and/ or international assessment teams effectively, ensuring that the visit is completed within the agreed timescales, and coordinating team findings to reach conclusions
  • Produce high-quality verification reports or other reports such as summary reports, assurance statement, reflecting business assurance principles, in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures
  • Have sufficient broad knowledge of LRQA's products and services to able to discuss additional services with clients and be able to take the opportunity to promote additional or higher value services, while actively building strong relationships
  • Ensure that all internal client stakeholders are kept informed of changes and issues, escalating as appropriate
  • Proactively identify opportunities and sales leads and pass these onto appropriate colleagues
  • Pass client feedback and insights to appropriate internal recipients initiating and leading client improvement projects as required
  • Maintain professional competence by keeping abreast of technical and other developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records, updating LRQA CV, maintaining professional registrations and producing records of competence as required
  • Supervise induction/coaching/ Mentor/knowledge transfer for assigned new verifiers/tutors
  • Perform additional and ad hoc tasks promptly as required such as assessor development, product development or projects
  • Participate fully in auditor meetings including developing materials, presenting and coaching others in own area of expertise as appropriate

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Thorough understanding of management systems/GHG scheme requirements and their application via a business assurance approach
  • Qualified to assess/verify against more than one major standard, sector scheme e.g. ISO 14064-1, ISO14067, CBAM, Carbon neutral, ESG etc.
  • Hold CCAA carbon management auditor qualification is preferred.
  • Understanding/ appreciation of relevant legal/ regulatory framework
  • Substantial experience in third party verification/pre-verification including organization level and product level verification.
  • Substantial industry experience in specialist sector, preferably within a GHG related environment
  • Understanding of the principles of client management principles and application within the role
  • Experience in developing and managing complex technical projects
  • Appreciation of the full range of LRQA products and services
  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject, e.g. environmental background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
