Role purpose:

Perform management system and GHG verification assessments and recommend certification, deferral, suspension or withdrawal of certification, validation or verification against the appropriate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Within authorised area of specialism, undertake management system assessments in accordance with current procedures and agreed timescales

• As assessment team member support assessment team leader effectively, ensuring that the visit is completed within the agreed timescales, and co-ordinating team findings to reach conclusions

• Produce high quality assessment reports reflecting business assurance principles in compliance with accreditation requirements and internal procedures

• Ensure that all internal client stakeholders are kept informed of changes and issues, escalating as appropriate

• Have sufficient broad knowledge of LRQA’s products and services to able to discuss additional services with clients and be able to take the opportunity to promote additional or higher value services

• Pass opportunities and sales leads to appropriate colleagues to progress

• Pass client feedback and insights to appropriate internal recipients

• Maintain professional competence by keeping abreast of technical and other developments in own area of expertise, maintaining CPD records, updating LRQA CV, maintaining professional registrations and producing records of competence as required

• Actively build strong client and internal relationships

• Participate fully in Assessor meetings

• Perform additional and ad hoc tasks promptly as required such as assessor development, product development or projects

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of management systems/scheme requirements and their application

• Substantial experience in third party auditing/assessment including system level auditing and process level auditing

• Substantial industry experience in specialist sector, preferably within a management systems environment

• Understanding/appreciation of relevant legal/regulatory framework

• A degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject

• Appreciation of the full range of LRQA products and services

• Competent in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Understanding of and applies the principles of client relationship management
