Role purpose:

  • Manages a high complexity project.
  • Acts as single point of contact for clients to effectively manage client and LRQA relationship.
  • May be involved in single projects or a portfolio of projects and individual projects may comprise one or more client contracts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe and effective delivery services to the agreed scope and specification, time scale and costs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a project in line with the commercial, contractual and financial requirements of the contract.
  • Managing client expectations and maintaining relationships.
  • To provide project management leadership through the use of applicable and relevant procedures.
  • Manage the creation and monitoring of project schedules, financial tracking, risks and issues plus associated project documentation and support compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • May assist in the development of reference and resource materials for project management. 

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, behaviours, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises the safety or health of you or your team.
  • Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.
  • Monitor that work is carried out within an appropriate safety management system, including provision of equipment and maintenance of records.

 Key stakeholders:  LRQA Leadership and Client Project Teams

 

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A minimum level of education equivalent to Bachelors in Engineering,
  • Degree or equivalent level preferred.
  • At least three years of project management or programme experience
  • Has a good, broad [Project Area/Sector/Subject] knowledge (through qualification or experience) [eg Engineering, Science, IT & Technology] and able to apply it across a broad range of existing (and potentially emerging) aspects.
  • Entry level, externally recognised certificate in project management (eg APM - PMQ, PMI – CAPM, IPMA level D)
  • Managing Commercial Risk – authorised bid approver course.
  • Can perform the actions associated with the role without assistance.
  • Is certainly recognized within his/her immediate organization as "a person to ask" when difficult questions arise.
  • Uses adequate project management processes, methods, techniques and tools whilst adhering to legal and commercial requirements.
  • Is capable of coaching others in the application of project management by translating complex nuances relating to project management into easy-to-understand terms.
  • Provided practical/relevant ideas and perspectives on process or practice improvements which may be implemented. 
  • Regarded as an authority within the area of expertise.
