Role purpose: |
Assist the inspection of engineering assets and assess for compliance against specific Code, Standards, specifications and procedures using experience and knowledge, and apply these to routine situations. |
Key Responsibilities: |
Carry out technical inspections/assessments under close supervision and against defined specifications/scope that includes budget constraints and contractual requirements. |
Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records and reports related to inspections completed |
Issue reports/certificates/documents to an agreed format and within agreed timescales |
Contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate, by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LR relationships, and to communicate client feedback to improve Service Delivery. |
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards. |
Seek new opportunities with existing clients and identify new clients within the region, supporting Sales and Marketing activities |
Undertake and maintain agreed personal authorisations. Follow up training plans and pursue continuous professional development. |
Key Health & Safety Responsibilities: |
Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health. |
Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager. |

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements: |
Must have completed secondary education, relevant apprenticeship or equivalent |
Shall possess appropriate trade/technical/vocational qualifications/certification, including job-specific certifications such as ASME, PED etc |
Will possess sufficient, relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant requirements, knowledge and application |
Technical competencies to be assessed within the authorisations’ framework – supervised at this level |
Competent in MS Office suite of software |
Proficiency in English language commensurate with the work (both written and verbal) |
Effective interpersonal skills |
Likely to have 2-5 years’ relevant work experience |
