LRQA is seeking a Product Manager with expertise in product management, human rights and grievance mechanisms to join our Advisory team in Southeast Asia and accelerate the development and growth of our human rights solutions and products.

We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate professional to drive the strategic development of our grievance service offering. LRQA operates a series of highly effective grievance mechanisms for supply-chain workers in a range of countries including India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, and Dominican Republic, among others. Our Grievance Mechanism service has huge potential for growth, and we need an individual who will be dedicated to finding business-forward opportunities for unlocking its potential. You will be part of the Asia-Pacific Advisory team and will work with, and learn from, LRQA teams across the globe.

 

Our grievance program involves a highly hands-on and worker-centric model that requires collaboration with local NGO partners and clients from a range of industries and countries. The grievance service involves client outreach; onboarding and training of suppliers; case management oversight; and investigation / remediation support.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle of LRQA’s grievance program, from defining the strategic vision and roadmap to driving improvements, execution and implementation
  • Oversee, manage, and support case managers and project managers to ensure the effective operation of the grievance program
  • Oversee and manage a range of NGO partners and other third parties that are crucial to grievance program implementation
  • Provide technical support and advice to team members, partners, and clients, particularly in relation to effective grievance implementation, effective remediation, international human rights standards, labour risk / mitigation, and human rights due diligence (particularly monitoring and the role of grievance)
  • Support business development, from improving marketing materials, equipping rest of business to market the grievance program, raising service-offering awareness, directly pitching to clients, and proposal drafting
  • Provide support and strategic oversight to the grievance program’s data collection and reporting efforts
  • Uphold standards of LRQA platforms and systems, including project management systems, business development systems, and other processes

 

Core Requirements and Experience

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience
  • Project management experience required (e.g. equivalent consultancy experience, grant / development funding management, or NGO management)
  • Experience with labour or human rights due diligence in supply chains required
  • Experience with grievance mechanisms or worker engagement required
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, including ability to deliver strong written outputs and compelling presentations
  • Experience conducting business development or otherwise generating business opportunities
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work virtually, one-on-one, and in a team
  • Ability to influence without formal authority
  • Capacity to work across different time zones and to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours

 

Assets

  • Experience in managing or implementing a similar product (e.g. grievance, worker voice, or other supply chain assurance solution)
  • Experience managing products that feature case management and / or data visualization
  • Experience with data science and data engineering skills, including familiarity with or ability to quickly master Zendesk, Tableau or other data visualization tools, JSON, and Python and
