The Opportunity

The Sales Manager – Cyber, Americas is a senior leadership role responsible for driving growth across LRQA’s cybersecurity portfolio in the Americas. You will lead and develop a high-performing team of 8 sales professionals, combining hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to exceed ambitious revenue targets, expand market share, and strengthen LRQA’s presence across regulated and enterprise sectors.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity sales leader who thrives in a consultative selling environment and understands the commercial and regulatory challenges faced by today’s organizations.

You will play a key role in shaping and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Cyber business in the Americas, leveraging your industry expertise, network, and leadership capability to unlock new opportunities and deliver tailored, value-driven solutions.

Working closely with technical consultants, delivery teams, and marketing, you will ensure a seamless client journey—from initial engagement through successful project handover. This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and influence within a globally respected organization.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 sales professionals to consistently exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance sales culture with clear KPIs, activity metrics, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, deal coaching, and strategic account planning.
  • Mentor team members on enterprise sales techniques, consultative engagement, and complex deal cycles.

Business Development & Growth

  • Drive new business development across enterprise and highly regulated clients.
  • Ensure effective cross-selling and upselling across LRQA’s cyber and broader assurance services.
  • Partner with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and sector-focused go-to-market initiatives.

Account Management & Client Relationships

  • Ensure strong executive-level relationships with CISOs, CIOs, Risk leaders, and Procurement.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, retention, and growth, stepping in to support strategic accounts when required.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure exceptional client outcomes.

Regional Strategy & Execution

  • Translate global and regional sales strategies into actionable plans for the Americas.
  • Represent the Americas region in global sales forums, contributing insights and best practices.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform future growth initiatives.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work cross-functionally with technical, marketing, and delivery teams to maximize win rates.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline health reporting, and performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to annual planning, territory design, and compensation strategy.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading and motivating a sales team (5+ direct reports), ideally within cybersecurity, IT services, or consulting.
  • Strong track record of consistently achieving and exceeding team-based revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity services such as penetration testing, red teaming, managed security services, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CMMC, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Demonstrated success in complex enterprise sales involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and executive-level communication.
  • Ability to build structured, disciplined, performance-driven sales organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic account plans for high-value clients.
  • High proficiency with CRM platforms and disciplined pipeline management.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach and passion for cybersecurity innovation.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with significant autonomy and accountability.

The anticipated salary range for individuals based in New York State for this position is $140,000–$160,000, depending on qualifications, experience, geography, and industry knowledge

This position is eligible to participate in an annual performance bonus plan, based on the achievement of defined company and individual performance goals.  

Example for sales roles, covered by Global Sales Incentive Scheme: 

This position is eligible for commission-based compensation, with commissions earned based on individual sales performance against defined targets.
