We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Consulting team in North America as an Associate Consultant . This entry-level role offers an opportunity to develop consultancy skills, build technical expertise in human rights, and contribute your own ideas within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Location
The preferred location for this role is our New York office in Midtown Manhattan.
What You’ll Do
As an Associate Consultant, you will support 3-4 client projects at a time through a combination of desktop research, preliminary report drafting, and support with client engagement. You will work on small teams of 2-4 to deliver these projects. Key responsibilities:

Research & analysis: Conduct research and analysis on a range of business and human rights, responsible sourcing, and sustainability topics.

Reporting & insights: Draft clear, accurate reports and presentations, translating research findings into actionable analysis and recommendations for clients.

Client engagement: Participate in regular client calls and formal presentations, support email communication, and ensure that client needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.

Business development: Assist with targeted research and contribute to proposal content to support growth.

Operational knowledge: Develop and maintain strong knowledge of LRQA’s internal processes, systems, and market dynamics to enable effective service delivery.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across LRQA teams and regions, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

Continuous learning: Build expertise in LRQA advisory focus areas through active learning and participation in internal initiatives.
What You Bring

Minimum of two years’ professional experience, or a strong academic record in a relevant discipline. This could include political science, social science, business and human rights, labor law, international relations, economics, or international development.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Well-developed organizational and administrative skills, including ability to set priorities, multi-task, work both independently and collaboratively, and adhere to strict deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Excellent grasp of standard Microsoft 365 applications.

Key Benefits

Competitive Salary aligned with your expertise and market benchmarks. The anticipated salary range for individuals in this position is $80,000–85,000 dependent upon qualifications, experience, geography, and industry knowledge.
