Role Purpose:
This role will be responsible for:
- Leading the Project Management delivery team of Inspection
- Providing required project management to support realisation of Inspection’s strategy to deliver a professional project management service.
- Implementing the strategic and operational business plans to meet both the current and emerging needs of the business working with potential partner and identify new Project Programme Requirements.
- Contributing to the development and achievement of Inspection business strategies to achieve strategic growth objectives for the Assurance Business.
- Leading and engaging Projects team to perform at their best in service of building and sustaining a high-performance culture.

Be accountable for maintaining client relationships and delivering all projects to the agreed scope and specification, time scale and costs in accordance to PMF and CMF and industry best practices.

Be an LRQA Ambassador and represent LRQA in Conferences / Exhibitions, as and when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide business intelligence to facilitate development of commercial strategies to grow existing and new key customers in the identified growth segments with relevant stakeholders to achieve revenue targets
- Build capabilities and technical expertise by leading a network of project managers to provide capacity and capability to meet the technical, contractual and geographic requirements of clients.
- Build and sustain capacity, capability and a high-performance culture through appropriate and forward thinking recruitment, performance management, talent/succession planning, mentoring, training & developmentS
- Ensure the smooth running of projects delivery to meet/exceed client expectations through seeking opportunities to delight the client, enhance the customer experience and deepen client relationships that further build the business.
- Responsible for driving quality and business improvements by ensuring that structures, systems, processes and procedures are continually reviewed for their effectiveness and efficiency in meeting business, commercial and management systems requirements whilst improving margin to meet business objectives.
- Responsible for the delivery, performance and safety for large and/or complex projects.
- Supports Sales Managers on the bid and tender development process. Work in close co-ordination with the Sales team to ensure most optimum cost estimation on the bids under submission.
- Undertakes resource planning, organisation and management as necessary and includes the allocation of manhours to ensure that the project remains profitable and adheres to the cost, time and quality control processes.
- Supports the execution of plans through contract compliance and includes change control and contract variations and where necessary identifies opportunities to develop additional work / revenue.
- Provides regular project and contract reviews, project reporting and close out to LRQA Senior Management and clients.
- Acts as single point of contact for clients to effectively manage and client and LRQA relationship.
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Chartered/Professional qualification and a member of a relevant professional institution are desirable.
- Externally PM Certified by PMI or similar Project Management Institution – Desirable – Not Essential
- Experience in delivering and managing a portfolio of projects to scope, specification, time and cost requirements in multiple countries
- Proven track record in managing, motivating and developing a (virtual) multi-cultured team of Project Managers and building organisational capabilities through sound people management practices to deliver business solutions
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis, solving complex problems and implementing complex solutions and providing visible, pro-active Health and Safety leadership, with the analysis and monitoring of incident reporting and task risk assessment.
- Knowledge of legal, statutory and regulatory requirements of the relevant countries within area of responsibility and project management tools, processes and industry best practices
- Result oriented, resilient, customer focused with the ability to build sustainable client relationship with multi-culture clients and strategic alliances to identify and secure business opportunities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to provide technical and commercial leadership to a multi skilled project team and generate technical reports when the need arises.
- Practical, flexible, adaptable and well organised with the ability to work with virtual teams and adhere to tight deadlines
- Ability to carry out in-depth analysis and provide recommended solutions
- Sound knowledge of critical macro variables (e.g. legal, social, technological, health, economic, political and competitive forces) and industry business environment (e.g. competitors, general market forces, market trends, regulatory environments and political forces and realities) that affect the industry in the defined area
- Experience in driving major change, risk management initiatives and building technology readiness
- Awareness of LRQA’s strategies, products and processes across LRQA service lines
- Significant experience of successfully managing a team and implementing sound people management practices (inclusive of strategic recruitment, organisational development and employee engagement, development and retention) to establish a high performance and client focused organization.
- Result oriented, customer focused and process driven individuals with the ability to build strategic relationships/alliances, build sustainable relationships with multi-culture clients, identify and seize growth opportunities, influence multiple stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, realise cross areas and service lines synergy and function within a complex highly matrix organisation.
