Role purpose

Benefits Advisors play a key role in supporting LRQA’s global reward strategy through data analysis, business partnering, and operational delivery. They contribute to the development and implementation of compensation and benefits programmes that are aligned with business objectives and enhance the employee experience. The role requires a proactive and collaborative approach, working across teams to ensure reward practices are competitive, compliant, and effectively communicated.

 

Accountabilities

  • Reward and Benefit Analysis: Conduct analysis of internal equity, market competitiveness, and emerging trends to ensure LRQA’s reward offerings remain attractive, fair, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with the People Team and business leaders to provide data-driven insights and practical advice on reward solutions that support organisational goals and enhance employee experience.
  • Policy Development: Support the development and maintenance of reward and benefit policies that are transparent, equitable, and consistent with LRQA’s values and governance standards.
  • Benefit Renewals: Assist with benefit renewals globally, including data preparation and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business priorities.
  • Employee Communication: Contribute to the creation of clear and engaging communication materials that help employees understand and appreciate their total reward package.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and compliant records of reward and benefits data, supporting audit processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Benchmarking & Surveys: Participate in benefits surveys, analyse market data, and provide recommendations to maintain competitive positioning.
  • Stakeholder Support: Respond to benefit-related queries from employees, People teams and business leaders, providing clear and timely guidance.
  • Vendor Support: Liaise with insurance providers and brokers for renewals , employee issues and process improvements
  • Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of reward-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Identify inefficiencies in reward operations and propose solutions to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
  • Benefits Administration: Assist with enrolment cycles, preparing business cases for approval, preparing data and dealing with invoices for vendor payments.

  • Systems Proficiency: Demonstrates working knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors) and data tools (e.g., Excel), ensuring data accuracy and supporting system enhancements.
  • Governance & Compliance: Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements and ensures reward practices meet internal and external standards.
  • Project Support: Contributes to the planning and delivery of reward-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.

 

Experience and qualification

  • Educational Background: Educated to university degree level in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business, Finance, or Economics. A professional qualification in reward, compensation, or benefits is advantageous but not essential.
  • Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience in a reward or benefits role, ideally within a global or complex organisational environment. Familiarity with cyclical reward activities such as benefit renewals is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors) and confident to use vendor platforms.
  • Analytical Capability: Demonstrates analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data ad summarise findings.
  • Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, supporting understanding of reward programmes and contributing to employee engagement.
  • Digital Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, with specific proficiency in Excel to support data analysis and reporting.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language fluency is beneficial but not required.
