Senior Consultant
Role Purpose:
Lead the design and delivery of high-quality consulting projects, applying deep technical expertise and analytical skills to solve complex client challenges. Manage client relationships, contribute to business development, mentor colleagues, drive knowledge development, and support the development of LRQA’s service offerings through innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead high-impact consulting engagements, delivering strategic insights and actionable recommendations. • Lead end-to-end execution of complex consulting projects, ensuring strategic alignment, timely delivery, and adherence to budget and quality standards. • Apply subject matter expertise to solve complex challenges, lead technical delivery, and mentor others across specialist areas. • Design and lead applied research initiatives and generate evidence-based insights to inform strategic decision-making. • Build and sustain relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal teams. • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through client engagement and market insight. • Lead proposal development and contribute to thought leadership activities. • Participate in the development and refinement of consulting products and services. • Support knowledge management initiatives, continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation. • Build team capability through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing. • Ensure work meets quality, ethics, compliance, confidentiality, and data protection standards. • Produce reports and presentations that translate complex information into client-relevant insights. • Lead cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement. • Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to support team development and performance.
What You'll Bring:
• Commercial Awareness: Demonstrates strategic insight into markets and client needs, shaping LRQA’s value proposition to drive growth. Leads market positioning efforts, identifies new opportunities, and builds long-term client partnerships that contribute to business expansion. • Analytical Thinking: Applies advanced analytical thinking to guide strategic decision-making. Leads the development of innovative, data-driven solutions across complex projects and advises clients on emerging risks and opportunities. • Continuous Learning: Supports the embedding of a culture of learning and innovation across teams. Anticipates future trends, integrates cutting-edge knowledge into service offerings, and drives capability development at organisational level. • Influencing & Advisory Skills: Acts as a senior advisor to executive-level stakeholders, shaping strategic direction, facilitating complex change initiatives, and building consensus to deliver sustainable impact across client organisations and stakeholders. Represents LRQA with professionalism, credibility, and confidence in both external and internal settings. • Degree (or higher) or equivalent qualification in a discipline relevant to business and human rights. • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience within at least two of the following advisory topic areas: human rights due diligence, stakeholder engagement, human rights, legal analysis, and complex supply chains. • Extensive experience delivering complex and sensitive projects across diverse contexts. • Expert-level knowledge in human rights due diligence with the ability to apply this experience in challenging contexts. • Deep understanding of key client sectors. • Experience managing complex stakeholder engagement processes and building trust and buy-in through communication and collaboration. • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences. • Skilled in producing high-quality documentation and client-facing outputs that support strategic decision-making and project delivery.
