Role Purpose

 

The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the effective planning, governance, and delivery of projects within LRQA Cyber Services. You will be responsible for overseeing full project lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the business in meeting client, operational, and commercial objectives.

 

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive best practice in project execution, resource planning, and risk management while embedding continuous improvement. This role will also act as a trusted advisor to the client and  leadership, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver projects successfully: Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, meeting agreed quality standards.

Define clear objectives: Establish project goals, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria aligned with business priorities and client requirements.

Manage end-to-end project lifecycle: Oversee planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards.

Drive operational excellence: Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines and quality.

Champion continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, adopt best practices, and enhance delivery efficiency.

Collaborate effectively: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and client expectations.

Resource and capacity planning: Coordinate resource allocation and scheduling to optimise utilisation and meet project demands.

Track and report performance: Monitor project KPIs (cost, schedule, quality, risk) and provide timely, transparent updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Risk and issue management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks; escalate issues promptly to avoid impact on delivery.

Facilitate lessons learned: Conduct post-project reviews and share best practices to embed continuous improvement across future projects.

Advocate for PMO standards: Promote adherence to governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistency and value delivery.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

Proven experience managing complex projects in a professional services or technology-led environment (essential)

Strong operational and delivery acumen (essential)

Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills (essential)

Project management certification APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent (preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Smart sheets, MS Project for the Web, excel (preferred)
