Key Responsibilities:
As subject matter expert, you will be in charge of :
- The maintenance of LRQA’s Notification for lifts Directive.
- The maintenance accreditation of the company in line with its notification.
- Supporting lifts sector clients with legal, standard questions.
- Maintenance of internal procedures.
- Maintenance of internal qualifications and processes (technical review, supervision).
- Technical support and training (workshops, technical information, trainings).
- Supporting internal colleagues (sales, client support)
As technical Expert you will – alone or in a team – perform EU Design Examination when needed by lifts sector clients.
As a Lead Auditor you will – alone or in a team – verify management systems of LRQA’s clients, Lifts Directive Quality modules (including conformity of lifts and/or Safety components) and/or QMS standard.
You will act as an expert and examine and assess the implementation of management systems at our client’s sites all around the country, Europe and other countries (onsite and remotely when allowed). Your goal is to contribute to the conformity Assessment Procedures and to the improvement of the overall systems. The broadening and deepening of the collaboration with our relations is also a great aspect of your job.
At middle term, based on your expertise and after induction in the company (including training), you will contribute to the development of our services, and represent LRQA within different institutional and professional organisations. A very challenging and diverse job where you get to meet a lot of different people and very interesting (technical or manager) challenges!
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s/engineering’s degree in Mechanics, Electricity or Electromechanics science
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience with the Lifts Industry (Design and/or Field aspects) or more than 10 years in the TIC Sector
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) sector, in relation to the Lifts Directive
- IRCA or ICA qualification appreciated
- Knowledge of other EU Directives (ex. PED) appreciated
- Being familiar with monitoring and review of EU and local law and regulations
- A good verbal and written knowledge of the French and English language (level C)
- Analytic insight and proactive attitude
- Able to manage international customers with a mixt of audits and team leadership
- Communicative and social skills
- Able to change each day your attitude (high reactivity)
- Perfect knowledge in relation to the products and the requirements of the Lifts Directive (EC/EU directives in general, including the ‘New Approach’ philosophy, requirements of Lifts Directive and related Harmonized Standards, relation with Machinery directive/regulation, assessment and surveillance methodology and reporting requirements, Risk Analysis method, principles of lift and related safety components design and manufacture, manufacturing methods for lifts and related safety components, installation and testing considerations)
