Role Purpose

To provide project management delivery through the use of applicable and relevant procedures, tools to maintain client relationships and be accountable for the safe and effective delivery of the contract and services to the agreed scope and specification, time and costs.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Accountable for single projects and a portfolio of projects in South East Asia & Australia.
  • Accountable for all aspects of project performance, safety management systems, service delivery and by providing effective planning, budget, time and quality controls and stakeholders management.
  • Accountable for the effective delivery of the project through the management of complex issues and opportunities arising with the stakeholders.
  • Manage and oversee project schedules, financial tracking, contract, risks management procedures and issues plus associated project documentation and support compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the timely invoicing and support debt management in cooperation with LRQA’s credit control function.
  • Plan all aspects of contract compliance and management to include change control, contract variations and actively seek to develop opportunities with the client.
  • Conducting project and contract reviews, periodic reporting the project status both internally for management and externally for clients under the terms of contracts concluding with a formal project close out.
  • Coordination of both technical and related project specific administrative activities.
  • Provide visible, pro-active HS&E leadership, ensuring that all LRQA corporate and local HS&E policies and processes are followed, including any necessary client-specific requirements, in particular, ensure that stated requirements for incident reporting, task risk assessment and safe methods of work are followed.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to project co-ordinators and support staff by managing and evaluating the team effectiveness and taking corrective action in line with relevant processes.

 

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Obtained Degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical or power sectors or port operations.
  • Familiar with procurement, manufacturing, QA/QC practices, facility for process or production of the respective sector.
  • Possess Professional certification/ qualification in project management and a member of a relevant professional institution eg. APMP/ PMP or Prince2 certification is an added advantage.
  • Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines & multicultural environment.
  • Must be IT literate. Familiar with SAP system, Microsoft 365
  • Possessing good communication skills, including technical report writing.
  • Ability to provide technical and project management leadership to a multi skilled team members & clients.
