Role Overview
This role supports the effective implementation of client responsible sourcing programs by working directly with suppliers leading up to and following audits. The CAP and Remediation Program Manager plays a critical role in helping suppliers understand client expectations, navigate remediation requirements, and develop and implement effective Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to drive sustained improvement.
The role works closely with the client and internal teams to ensure remediation activities are practical, timely, and aligned with program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Engagement & Remediation Support
- Act as a primary point of contact for a subset of client suppliers post‑audit, providing clear guidance on audit findings, remediation expectations, and timelines.
- Support suppliers in understanding client requirements related to corrective actions, continuous improvement, and responsible sourcing expectations.
- Work directly with suppliers to develop, review, and refine Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), with a focus on feasibility, root‑cause alignment, and sustainable improvement.
- Provide hands‑on guidance and best‑practice recommendations to help suppliers address high‑risk, recurring, or systemic findings.
- Monitor CAP progress, follow up with suppliers on implementation status, and escalate risks or delays as appropriate.
- Contribute to building supplier capability and accountability beyond audit closure, supporting a shift from compliance‑driven to improvement‑oriented outcomes.
Program Delivery & Coordination
- Support the execution of client responsible sourcing and risk monitoring programs in line with agreed timelines and scope.
- Review audit reports and other risk intervention outputs, with particular attention to critical issues, repeat findings, and remediation quality.
- Coordinate closely with client and program management teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on remediation expectations.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, trackers, and systems related to audits, CAPs, and supplier engagement.
- Ensure internal guidance, SOPs, and working instructions are followed and updated to reflect client expectations and SOW requirements.
- Support ad‑hoc program activities as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track supplier remediation performance and CAP progress to support internal and client reporting.
- Contribute to trend analysis related to audit findings, remediation quality, and recurring issues.
- Support preparation of reports and dashboards related to supplier performance, risk exposure, and remediation outcomes.
- Respond accurately and efficiently to client and internal data requests related to remediation and program performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in ethical sourcing, labor compliance, social risk monitoring, or responsible sourcing programs (brand/retailer or service provider).
- Strong understanding of audit methodologies, codes of conduct, and corrective action processes.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with suppliers on audit follow‑up, remediation, and improvement planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; other languages preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with experience using Excel, PowerBI, and related data tools.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
- Able to work independently with a high level of integrity.
- Willingness to travel periodically as required.
