Key Responsibilities:

To perform complex assessments and provide advice for service delivery within agreed broad parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.

To produce the deliverable within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review and monitor other employee’s work as requested.

To discuss/ present the deliverable with the external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.

Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

To assess/ recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure and within the commercial aspects of the contract, and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and Lloyd’s Register’s standard terms and conditions (e.g., Commercial Notice).

To pursue CPD and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.

To develop technically other employees, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.

To contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LR relationships.

To make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.

To undertake project management where applicable including monitoring project progress and spend against budget and contract requirements.

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Eliminate or minimise employee's exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.

Manage your own and your team's compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

Shall possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university.  An additional higher degree e.g. Master's may be preferred in some regions.

Preferably a qualified member of a recognised professional body eg www.nspe.org, www.cae.cn, www.engc.org.uk, www.ecindia.org.  Likely to be working towards Chartered/Professional Engineer.

Shall possess sufficient relevant previous working experience to to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant specialist requirements, knowledge and application. Likely to have 6-10 years relevant working experience.

To be addressed within authorisations framework. Will be unsupervised for some authorisations.  May be supervised for others.
