We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our team in Houston and play a pivotal role in expanding our local, regional and global market presence through a strategic sales approach, utilizing our expansive portfolio of diversified products and service solutions to ensure holistic, consultative, and client-centric results.
Role Purpose: Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, the purpose of the Strategic Account Manager is to: Develop and win new business opportunities with existing and target strategic accounts. Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key individuals in client accounts. Lead the strategic sales priorities and implementation for accounts, based on opportunities, framework, and service agreements, to maximize revenue delivery and growth.
Introducing new products and services which are added to the LRQA portfolio through acquisitions and new product development.
Support strategic bids and be a major contributor to the bid process and team.
Be the local lead and representative for colleagues’ accounts, where geographical strategic support is needed, including liaison with Strategic Account Managers (GAM’s) to drive sales and pipeline opportunities.

- Drive New Business -Identify and secure new opportunities within existing and targeted strategic accounts.
- Build Strong Relationships - Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders in client accounts to enhance collaboration and trust.
- Lead Sales Initiatives - Take charge of strategic sales efforts, ensuring effective implementation to maximize revenue and growth.
- Innovate with New Offerings - Introduce and promote new products and services from our expanding LRQA portfolio to meet client needs.
- Contribute to Bids - Play an integral role in strategic bids, contributing expertise and insights to the bidding process.
- Local Leadership- Serve as a local lead for strategic accounts, partnering with Global Account Managers (GAMs) to drive sales and maximize pipeline opportunities.
- Achieve Performance Goals - Focus on retention, revenue growth, and new client acquisition as key performance indicators for your success.
- Develop Strategic Plans - Create and execute comprehensive account plans that align with our group growth objectives, optimizing revenue opportunities.
- Manage Pipelines - Ensure a strong and growing pipeline by collaborating with regional / global teams.
What will you bring
- Demonstrable experience of achieving annual sales targets, selling products and services in a comparable role in a B2B environment.
- Proven experience of working with large strategic organisations to develop sales solutions.
- Demonstrable experience of developing contract values with large accounts through year-on-year double digit growth.
- Experience in preparing and delivering proposal presentations to senior level audience.
- Experience in managing quotations, bids and proposals, including knowledge of pricing strategies to achieve required margin.
- Knowledge of the business assurance sector is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Proven experience in the Assurance sector, with hands-on knowledge of audit, assurance services, and regulatory compliance.
