We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Part-time Regional Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Apparel Manager to join our Team and assigned to lead a client's the production quality assurance team in Asia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all QC/QA activities within the region (mainly in Vietnam), ensuring that the client's production quality meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assign to a client's QA Team and act as client's regional representative to perform Qaulity Assurance Activities and manage the local team of 2 junior inspectors.
  • Develop and implement QC/QA strategies and procedures to maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Establish and enforce quality control standards for materials,workmanship, and finished products.
  • Manage a team of QC/QA inspectors and technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Manage weekly inspection schedule for the team, working with vendors to consolidate. Review, track, and approve team budget and expenses monthly
  • Conduct independent inspections and audits of products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards. Make judgments on acceptance and rejection of marginal quality cases, escalating to SF team as needed
  • Troubleshoot with factories on any production issues that arise, escalating to and working with SF Production, Design, and Technical team as needed. Work with vendors to implement improvements and CAPA if needed
  • Prepare, consolidate, update, and file inspection reports
  • Review and comment on samples (PP, TOP, etc) including materials and components etc. Review and comment on lab dips and bulk submits
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to apparel manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Assist with sustainability certifications and process
  • Report practively and closely work with the assigned client on escalating and updating QA issues from the supply chain as well as LRQA internally for any client-related service concerns and status
  • Various other tasks and duties as assigned or neede

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in apparel manufacturing, textile engineering, quality management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance roles within the apparel industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Written and Oral English proficiency, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese a plus.
  • Ability to travel within the region to visit production facilities and suppliers with >50of the allocated working hours
  • Strong understanding of apparel manufacturing processes, including patternmaking, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • A team player who can give full effort to meeting service quality standard
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Gmail, Docs, etc
