Role Purpose

Lead the technical development and optimization of our adverse media screening services by leveraging advanced data science, AI, and machine learning techniques. Stay updated on technological advancements to continuously enhance product design, risk detection accuracy, and delivery performance in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Spearhead the technical roadmap for our adverse media screening solution, driving innovation and implementing cutting-edge algorithms that keep us ahead of the competition.
• Develop and fine-tune ML models and NLP systems that effectively detect and analyze adverse media across global sources, with particular focus on multi-language content and regional nuances.
• Keep a finger on the pulse of emerging technologies in AI, NLP and data science fields that could enhance our risk screening capabilities and user experience.
• Streamline data processing pipelines to handle the increasing volume and complexity of media sources without compromising on performance or accuracy.
• Work hand-in-hand with our compliance, legal and risk management teams to ensure our technical solutions address regulatory requirements and evolving risk frameworks.
• Tackle the persistent challenge of false positives by enhancing contextual understanding through advanced entity resolution and sentiment analysis techniques.
• Architect and build resilient ML infrastructure that supports real-time monitoring with minimal latency and maximum reliability.
• Champion rigorous testing methodologies and model validation processes that deliver transparency and meet regulatory standards.
• Coach and develop talent within our technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements

• Solid track record in applied data science, ML and NLP, ideally within compliance technology, or risk screening sectors.
• Hands-on experience addressing the unique challenges of adverse media analysis, including disambiguation of entities and processing text across multiple languages and sources.
• Technical proficiency in sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, classification algorithms, and anomaly detection systems.
• Strong Python development skills and practical experience with major ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
• Working knowledge of big data technologies and experience building systems that process information in near real-time.
• Demonstrated ability to implement transparent, explainable AI solutions that meet regulatory requirements in highly regulated industries.
• Sharp problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience leading technical initiatives or managing technical teams in a product environment is highly desirable.
