Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to conduct and lead social compliance audits against applicable standards, ensuring quality, integrity, and timely delivery for clients.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Deliver high‑quality, consistent assessments aligned with client and scheme requirements
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients during planning, on-site work, and reporting
- Manage opening and closing meetings effectively, ensuring clarity of scope, findings, and outcomes
- Respond promptly to client queries and support issue resolution within the defined boundaries of auditor independence
- Represent the company professionally at all times, protecting client trust and brand reputation
- Deliver assessments on time and to quality standards, enabling repeat business and long-term client relationships
- Identify opportunities for expanded scope (where appropriate) and provide feedback to account or sales teams
- Maintain required qualifications and flexibility to support high-demand programs and markets
- Act as a trusted technical resource that enhances the company’s credibility in the market
- Plan and execute audits efficiently within agreed time allocations and budgets
- Minimize rework by ensuring accurate, evidence-based findings and high-quality reporting
- Follow company procedures and use standardized tools to ensure operational consistency
- Manage travel, time, and administrative tasks responsibly
- Support productivity by mentoring junior assessors and reducing escalations or quality issues
- Take ownership of personal performance, quality metrics, and delivery commitments
- Act as a role model for APSCA ethics, integrity, and professional behavior
- Provide constructive guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to less experienced assessors
- Participate in witness audits, calibration sessions, and technical reviews as required
- Embrace feedback and continuous improvement to raise individual and team performance
- Use digital audit platforms, tools, and reporting systems accurately and consistently
- Maintain timely and complete digital records, evidence, and documentation
- Adapt to new technologies, remote assessment tools, and system updates
- Follow data security, confidentiality, and information management requirements
- Actively support digital ways of working that improve efficiency and transparency
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements
- APSCA CSCA certification
- BSCI Lead Auditor certification
- 3–5+ years of social compliance auditing experience
- Proven experience leading social compliance assessments
- Adhere to all company policies relating to integrity and confidentiality of information
- Undertake social compliance assessments in accordance with LRQA social compliance assessment procedures and specific client expectations outlined in Field Instruction (FI)
- Undertake and lead specialty assessments that require a high level of expertise, such as management system audits, environmental audits and chemical audits etc.
- Lead an audit team and delegate tasks to team auditors to reach an audit conclusion
- Deliver quality reports according to LRQA and client protocols and timelines
- Deep understanding of LRQA social compliance assessment procedures, local labor laws, environmental and management system audit expectations
- Support on-site training for new auditors and calibration training
- Take additional responsibility for designated client project management and technical support as needed
- Good command of written English
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in field audit environments
