About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Cypress and a strong background in DevOps practices. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the design and implementation of robust automation frameworks, drive quality across the development lifecycle, and mentor junior engineers to elevate the team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Lead test strategy discussions and champion best practices in test automation.
  • Act as a mentor and technical leader, supporting the growth and development of junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues efficiently.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Cypress for end-to-end testing.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools , (Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with containerization and cloud environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Azure).
  • Experience mentoring or leading other engineers in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with testing mobile devices (Appium, Selenium, etc).
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • ISTQB or similar certification.
