About the role

Provide strong financial control for the LRQA Cyber Business Unit, supporting accurate and timely P&L and balance sheet reporting. Drive continuous improvement in the quality, accuracy and insight of financial information to support business decision‑making.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality period‑end and year‑end close activities, meeting a tight 3‑day close timetable.
  • Prepare accurate accruals and prepayments to ensure the financial performance of the Cyber business is appropriately reflected.
  • Maintain robust balance sheet control, including ownership of reconciliations and timely resolution of reconciling items..
  • Support the stabilisation of the new ERP following the move to SAP ByD at the end of Q3 2025, identifying process improvements and enhancing ways of working within the new environment.
  • Partner with the Cyber Finance Business Partner to:
  1. Support the financial integration of acquisitions into SAP ByD
  2. Contribute to the organisational design of Cyber Finance post‑implementation
  3. Support the transition of activities into the shared service centre and central teams where applicable
  • Provide timely, accurate ad‑hoc financial analysis and insight on business issues, enabling EVP‑level stakeholders to understand and manage financial performance.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition, including review of system uploads (e.g. timesheets), and confirm intercompany positions are correctly recorded for the global Cyber business.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support to the Cyber Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger teams as required.

 

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification, i.e. (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Minimum 3 years experience operating in an international finance function, including Shard Service Centre experience. Knowledge and/or experience of management accounting is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills with ability to lead, influence, persuade
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Power BI and preferably working knowledge of SAP ByD
  • Tenacious in understanding the root cause of any issues or degradation in service delivery. Ability to pick up systems quickly and able to drive improvements
  • Analytical / diagnostic skills with ability to analyse large quantities of data, identify issues, propose and present actions.
  • Strong planning, analysing, monitoring, reporting and risk identification and mitigation skills
  • Relevant additional qualifications in Finance/Business/Process domain.
