Role Purpose:


Lead and coordinate compliance and product leadership for the AS91XX scheme, ensuring adherence to technical standards while aligning with strategic and commercial goals. Act as a key technical advisor to internal and external teams, supporting accreditation efforts and driving continuous improvement globally. Oversee the delivery of the AS91XX product, monitor key performance indicators, and collaborate across business functions to maintain LRQA’s accreditation and regulatory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Ensure technical standards align with local and global business strategies. Provide ongoing feedback to management teams to ensure effective processes and share best practices across regions.

  • Expert Guidance: Offer technical support and interpretation of legislation, management systems, and certification procedures to internal teams, field assessments, and other departments.

  • Governance and Compliance: Oversee governance activities such as internal audits, management reviews, and product audits to support local and global accreditation requirements.

  • Strategic Support: Assist in creating and implementing technical strategies and business plans, working with the Global and Area Technical Manager to achieve objectives.

  • External Representation: Represent LRQA on accreditation committees and build a strong network within the industry to protect and promote business interests.

  • Dispute Resolution: Support resolution of third-party complaints, certification disputes, and non-conformities in line with LR processes.

  • Training & Development: Support training for assessors and internal teams to ensure Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and capability building.

  • Health & Safety: Lead by example in promoting safe working practices and ensure employees are trained and resources are available to maintain a safe working environment.

 

Technical Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, or related aerospace industry experience.

  • Aerospace Auditor ie AEA 9100/ 9110/9120 desirable

  • AS91XX scheme governance desirable

  • Experience in technical support, field auditing, and managing risk across regions.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide, influence, and negotiate effectively.

  • A commitment to safety practices and fostering a mature safety culture.
