Role purpose:

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to play a key role in supporting the Sales and Commercial teams by providing financial insights, tracking performance, and driving profitability. This role will be responsible for analysing financial data, monitoring sales performance, managing incentives, and identifying risks and opportunities to help optimise business decisions. Additionally, the Finance Analyst will track the full sales cycle from marketing leads to invoicing, ensuring accurate forecasting, revenue recognition, and financial control. The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Commercial FBP, Chief Commercial Officer, as well as the wider Sales and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment with financial goals and commercial strategy.

Track and review sales team performance against targets, identifying trends and key drivers.

Track financial performance across the full sales cycle, from marketing leads to sales opportunities, conversions, orders, delivery, and invoicing.

Analyse conversion rates at each stage to assess pipeline health and revenue forecasting; Monitor order-to-cash efficiency, ensuring timely invoicing and revenue recognition; Identify bottlenecks or risks that could impact financial performance.

Monitor and control sales incentives – calculating payments, ensuring accuracy, and assessing cost-effectiveness.

Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business strategies and evaluate new opportunities.

Assist in preparing and analysing P&L statements, sales performance reports, and overheads variance analysis

Play a key role in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial planning.

Work closely with the Sales team to identify commercial risks and opportunities

Provide insights and reports to senior management, helping drive data-led decision-making.

Collaborate with HR and local teams to monitor and report on sales team vacancies, ensuring alignment with budgeted headcount and financial planning, while supporting efforts to expedite the recruitment process where needed.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls and contribute to refining workflows and practices when necessary.
