Role Purpose

The Export Control Specialist role forms an essential part of the Technical & Quality Governance Team to support the business in managing inspections and assessments where export control regulations of UK, USA, France and other countries apply to the Nuclear, Aerospace and other sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Engaging with operations and sales to ensure we have correct procedures and processes to maintain compliance with export control legislation relevant to inspection and assessment services delivered by LRQA globally.
• Applying for export licences as required.
• Maintaining a register of inspection reports distributed under licence and to assess documents and apply an export control code to ensure document distribution is in compliance with export laws & regulations.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Knowledge of export control legislation within UK and USA.
• Good decision making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
