Role purpose:

  • The role of a Supervisor is to assist the team leader on team management. And critically assess the environmental, health & safety and labour conditions for workers in manufacturing settings across industries; perform on specialty audit programs such as management system, environmental, chemical audits etc. Supervisor will be expected to take additional responsibilities for project managements, technical support and other essential duties are outlined in the following section.
  • As most of the job responsibility of Supervisor is conducting assessments, Supervisor is expected to meet Key Performance Targets related to report turnaround time, report quality and management KPIs as per the annual goal setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company policies relating to integrity and confidentiality of information.
  • Assist the group leader on team management, work closely with group leader to provide field technical support to auditors.  
  • Undertake social compliance assessments based on LRQA social compliance assessment procedures and specific client expectations outlined in Field Instruction (FI);
  • Undertake and lead specialty assessment which requires high level of expertise such as management system audit, environmental audit and technical audit etc.
  • Lead an audit team and delegate task to team auditors for reaching an audit conclusion.
  • Deliver quality report according to LRQA and client protocols and timelines.
  • Deep understanding of LRQA social compliance assessment procedures, local labour laws, environmental and management systems audit expectations.
  • Support on new auditor onsite training and calibration training.
  • Take additional responsibility on designated client project management and technical support as needed.
  • Other assignments as needed.

 

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Education and work experience: Bachelor's degree or above in law, engineering or related fields and the individual will have incurred enough work experience to fulfil all of the expectations for LRQA auditors.
  • Legal and industry knowledge: The individual will have detailed knowledge of international, national and local laws and standards that apply to labour compliance. The individual will also possess awareness of prevalent issues in the region that require sensitivity or further investigation.
  • Auditing knowledge: The individual will have the ability to competently undertake processes specific to supplier compliance assessments, including but not limited to conducting sensitive and confidential worker interviews, reviewing worker records and performing wage tests and calculations.
  • Must be Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA) from APSCA
  • Certified by at least one of the industry initiatives as 'Lead auditor', such as BSCI, SLCP, WRAP, ISO etc.
  • At least 5+ years auditing experiences.
  • At least 8+ years working experiences.
  • At least 1+ years on management position.
  • Local language and cultural awareness: The individual should be a fluent speaker and reader of the language(s) used by managers, administrators and workers of the site being assessed. (Under circumstances where the individual’s skills are limited, the individual will communicate effectively through an interpreter.) The individual must also be familiar with the applicable culture(s) and customs.
  • English proficiency: The individual will have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Integrity: LRQA expect high level integrity, good attitude and maturity
  • Undergo LRQA Auditor Screening prior to hire.
